History

The congregation of the “Schwestern vom göttlichen Erlöser”, founded in 1849 by Elisabeth Eppinger (Mother Alfons Maria), was also situated in Vienna since 1857, from 1866 under the name of “Töchter des göttlichen Heilands”. In 1999 both congregations reunited under their original name “Schwestern vom göttlichen Erlöser”.

The „Ho(s)tel & Guesthouse Kaiser 23“ is an old safe haven of the congregation. Feel the spirit of ancient times in the chapel or in the church of the congregation – maybe you will meet one of the remaining nuns of this old convent.
